Statewide protest against Congress: Akali workers burn effigies of Captain, Sunil Jakhar The Shiromani Akali Dal's statewide protest continues in all the 117 assembly constituencies, here on Saturday during which Akali workers burnt effigies of Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, Congress President Rahul Gandhi. The workers burnt effigies of Congress President Rahul Gandhi, Sunil Jakhar and Justice Ranjit under the leadership of Sohan Singh Thandal in Hoshiarpur. The move comes after the Congress and AAP had blamed Badals for sacrilege and police firing incidents at Faridkot in 2015.
