Congress colluding with anti-Sikhs forces to grab control of Gurdhams: Parkash Singh Badal
Shri Mukatsar Sahib/January 14: Former chief minister S. Parkash Singh Badal today lambasted the congress party for stooping too low to seize control of the SGPC & other Sikh Institutions as it was trying to create division among the Sikhs by colluding with anti-Sikh forces to achieve this heinous goal.

Addressing a huge gathering on the eve of auspicious Maghi Mela here, S. Badal said during 80 years of his long political stint he learnt that Congress party was the biggest of enemy of Punjab as well as Sikhs. “You can see the difference by comparing it with the Modi government. On one hand Congress party was trying to grab control of our gurdhams by instigating the Sikhs against each other and the other hand the modi government was fulfilling a long pending desire of every sikh to have hassle free access to the Kartarpur Sahib Gurdwara”.

Appreciating PM modi for taking two historical and unprecedented steps for the Sikhs, S. Badal said that Khalsa panth would forever be indebted to Modi sahib who took decision to made the kartarpur corridor a reality and delivered justice to victims of 1984 Sikh genocide by setting up SIT to reopen the cases of Sikh massacre closed by the successive congress governments. “We never forget the people who had ever sympathized with our community by their noble acts. Modi ji has won our hearts with his noble gestures and we want to see him as PM for the second term” he concluded.

Addressing the gathering on this occasion, the SAD president S. Sukhbir Singh Badal said that some anti-Sikh forces was trying hard to defame the SAD and it senior leadership in their desperate attempt to gain control over the Sikh institution including the SGPC. He said that they are misleading the Sikhs by making baseless and false claims about the functioning of the SGPC. “The affairs of the SGPC are run by representatives of the Sikh community not by the Badal family as they put it to misguide the Sikhs. These so called panthic forces are B-team of Congress. They held dharna and lifted it, blocked cavalcades of SAD leaders, issued false statements against the Badal family as there were directed to do by the congress party” he added.

Making a scathing attack on the Congress party for always keeping hostile attitude towards Punjab as well as Sikhs, S. Badal said that the congress attacked our holiest Shrine Shri Darbar Sahib with mortars and tanks. They first orchestrated the 1984 Sikh massacre to kill thousands of innocent Sikhs and then provided political shelter to the accused, left the victim families running from pillar to post for years to just see the perpetrators of this heinous crime behind the bars.
Praising the PM Narinder Modi for not only paying heed to demands of Punjabis, especially the Sikh community, but also taking unprecedented decisions like making way for construction of Kartarpur Sahib Corridor as well as justice to 1984 genocide victims, he said that PM modi took a decision to help the Sikhs to realize their long pending dream to have hassle free access to all those Gurdhams which were separated from them during the partition. “PM also assuaged the wounds of the Khalsa Panth by putting those responsible for 1984 Sikh massacre behind the bars first time after 34 years of this crime against humanity” he added.
