Congress turned Vampires: distressed teachers offered their blood in a glass to Congress 26 organizations of government teachers on Sunday organized a massive protest march to oppose the policy of the Congress Government, i.e. to reduce the salaries from Rs 42,800 to Rs 15,000 per month. State President of Teacher’s Union Punjab, Didar Singh Mudki a convener of Sanjh Morcha declared that Captain Amarinder Singh, Chief Minister of Punjab, will have to pay the price of degrading the teachers. Also Read: Sikhs protest as Haryana CM skips Gurdwara visit due to portrait of Bhindrawala Mudki further said that there is no justification of reducing the salaries of Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) and Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RAMSA) teachers. During the protest, dozens of teachers donated their blood to the Chief Minister, Captain Amarinder Singh, through Naib Tehsildar at the Deputy Commissioner’s, office on Friday. They also donated their blood to Punjab’s Education Minister, OP Soni. As a part of their protest, they half-filled the glass with their own blood and sent those glasses to the Education Minister, with ladoos made of Soil. This move was taken to symbolize that the dragon is drinking their blood. Teachers, on Sunday, marched towards the Dukhniwaran Sahib Gurdwara from the Tripuri area. A heavy police force was deployed in the area which stopped them to move any further. They staged a sit-in dharna near gurudwara. Teachers announced that they would continue their protest until their demands were fulfilled. More than 11 teachers started fast unto death near the gurudwara sahib during the protest.
