Congressmen try to capture booths in Rooreasal Village in Khadur Sahib
Congress workers tried to capture booths in Rooreasal village in Khadur Sahib tehsil in Tarn Taran District. They even tried to attack the media who reached there for coverage. The workers attacked News 18 reporter, Sidharth. The congressmen broke their cameras.
The congressmen indulged in Booth capturing and cops remained mute spectators.

Polling to elect sarpanches and panches for 13,276 villages has started at 8 AM and will conclude around 4 PM. The counting of votes will take place after the polling.

All necessary arrangements have been done for smooth and transparent polling. More than 8000 candidates are contesting for the post of sarpanchas and panches. More than 1.27 crore voters will take part in the polling today. The election commission has set up 17,268 polling booths. Also, 86,340 personnel are deployed on duty today.

According to PTC News, 4,363 sarpanches and 46,754 panches have already been elected unopposed.
