Congress's Harjinder Singh Thekedar seeks ticket from Amritsar for Lok Sabha polls Congress former Member of Legislative (MLA) Assembly from Amritsar (South) Harjinder Singh Thekedar on  Wedensday  staked claim to the party's ticket from Amritsar in Punjab for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He defeated Independent candidate Raminder Singh Bolaria by a margin of 4000 votes. However, he lost to Raminder Singh Bolaria by a margin of 24,000 votes in 2007 assembly elections.
