Cop receives threat e-mail claiming PM Modi will be 'assassinated in 2019' Delhi Commissioner of Police Amulya Patnaik has allegedly received an e-mail that claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would be killed in November 2019. The one line e-mail was reportedly sent to the official e-mail address of the top cop in Delhi. Security agencies have been put on high alert as the Prime Minister is expected to hold several rallies in this particular month, sources said. Initial investigation revealed that the mail was probably sent via a server that has been traced to North-East, specifically to Assam. In June this year, the Pune Police had claimed to have recovered a letter by suspected Maoists in which a plot to assassinate PM Narendra Modi in a "Rajiv Gandhi-type incident" was revealed. The letter, written by someone named as 'R' and addressed to one 'Comrade Prakash', spoke about the 'Rajiv Gandhi-type incident' and stated that PM Modi could be targetted during one of his "road shows." -PTC News
