The total number of coronavirus cases in Punjab has increased to 2301 after 38 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the last 24 hours, as of Monday evening. The death toll in the state stands at 44. The health department on Sunday had reported 45 deaths to which it clarified that one duplicate death has been removed.
According to the media bulletin issued by the Punjab Health Department, Amritsar reported 9 new cases of coronavirus. Hoshiarpur reported 8 new cases of COVID-19. Likewise, four new cases were reported from Patiala while Jalandhar, Gurdaspur, Pathankot and SBS Nagar reported one new case each. Mohali and Bathinda reported 2 new cases each while Fatehgarh Sahib reported 5 new cases of coronavirus.
A total of 13 patients were declared cured and discharged in the last 24 hours. Of 13, 7 patients were declared cured in Hoshiarpur and 6 from Pathankot.
Currently, Amritsar is on the top of the tally with 386 cases of coronavirus so far followed by Jalandhar at 246, Ludhiana at 197, and Tarn Taran at 157. Gurdaspur has 138 cases of coronavirus while Patiala has reported 122 cases. SBS Nagar tally has increased to 113 while Mohali's tally has increased to 113. Hoshiarpur tally has spiked to 128.
The number of coronavirus cases in Sangrur stands at 96 while Muktsar stands at 66. Faridkot, Moga have reported 62 cases each while a total of 70 cases have been reported from Ropar and 63 from Fatehgarh Sahib.

Ferozepur tally stands at 46 while Fazilka has 44 and Bathinda has 49 cases. Mansa has recorded 32 cases while the total number of coronavirus cases has increased to 61 in Pathankot. Kapurthala stands at 36 while 24 cases of coronavirus cases have been reported from Barnala so far. Meanwhile, 257 are the active cases while 2000 people have been cured and discharged.
