The total number of coronavirus cases in Punjab has increased to 2139 after new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the last 24 hours, as of Wednesday evening. The death toll in the state stands at 40. publive-image According to the media bulletin issued by the Punjab Health Department on Tuesday evening, Amritsar reported 16 new cases of coronavirus while Patiala reported 7 new cases. Likewise, two new cases were reported each from Sangrur and Tarn Taran. One new case each has been reported from Gurdaspur, Barnala and Ludhiana. Pathankot reported 3 new cases of coronavirus. Amritsar is on the top of the tally with 347 COVID-19 cases so far followed by Jalandhar at 230, Ludhiana at 176, and Tarn Taran at 156. Gurdaspur has 133 cases of coronavirus while Patiala has reported 115 cases. SBS Nagar tally stands at 106 while Mohali's tally ha increased to 103. Hoshiarpur tally stands at 110. India records 6,387 more COVID-19 cases; tally reaches 1,51,767 The number of coronavirus cases in Sangrur has increased to 91 while Muktsar stands at 66. Faridkot has reported 62 cases so far while a total of 59 cases have been reported from Moga, 60 from Ropar, 57 from Fatehgarh Sahib. Kapurthala stands at 36 while 22 cases of coronavirus cases have been reported from Barnala so far. Meanwhile, 181 are active cases while 1918 people have been cured and discharged. -PTC News-
