The total number of coronavirus cases in Punjab has increased to 2461 after 46 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the last 24 hours, as of Friday evening. The death toll in the state has increased to 48 after a new death was reported from Tarn Taran.
According to the media bulletin issued by the Punjab Health Department, Ludhiana reported 16 new cases of coronavirus while 8 new cases were reported from Jalandhar. Mohali reported 4 new cases while Amritsar and Gurdaspur reported three new cases each. Kapurthala and Tarn Taran also reported two new cases each. Likewise, one new case was reported each from Patiala, Fatehgarh Sahib, Bathinda, Moga, Sangrur, Pathankot and Faridkot.
A total of 26 patients were declared cured and discharged in the last 24 hours. Of 26, 14 were from Amritsar, 3 from Ludhiana, 5 from Moga, 2 from Pathankot and 1 from Tarn Taran and Mohali each.
Currently, Amritsar is on the top of the tally with 408 cases of coronavirus followed by Jalandhar at 270, Ludhiana at 222, and Tarn Taran at 159. Gurdaspur has 148 cases of coronavirus while Hoshiarpur has 134 cases. Patiala has reported 126 cases of COVID-19. Meanwhile, the Coronavirus tally of Mohali has increased to 124 while SBS Nagar tally has spiked to 106.
The number of coronavirus cases in Sangrur has increased to 104 while Pathankot has reported 81 cases. Ropar has 71 cases while Muktsar tally has increased to 70. Faridkot graph stands at 67, Moga and Fatehgarh Sahib at 65.
Ferozepur tally stands at 46 while Fazilka has 45 cases and Bathinda has 54 cases. Mansa has recorded 32 cases while the total number of coronavirus cases in Kapurthala has increased to 40. 24 cases of coronavirus cases have been reported from Barnala so far.
