The total number of coronavirus cases in Punjab has increased to 2197 after 39 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the last 24 hours, as of Friday evening. Meanwhile, the death toll due to COVID-19 in the has increased to 42 after two new deaths were reported in the state. publive-image Ludhiana reported a new death taking the district toll to 8 while a new death was reported in Amritsar. The death toll in Amritsar has increased to 7. As per the media bulletin issued by the Punjab Health Department on Thursday evening, Mohali reported 3 new cases of coronavirus taking the district tally to 107. Amritsar reported 12 new cases while 8 new cases were reported from Jalandhar.
