The total number of coronavirus cases in Punjab has increased to 184 after eight fresh cases of coronavirus were reported from Pathankot, Mohali, Gurdaspur and Jalandhar districts on Tuesday. While Gurdaspur reported its first case of coronavirus, two news cases were reported from Mohali district. Meanwhile, the district's tally has risen to 56, the highest in the state.
A 56-year-old woman from Jawaharpur village in Dera Bassi and a 36-year-old woman from Mundi Kharar tested positive for the pandemic. The total number of coronavirus cases in Jawaharpur village has increased to 38.
Pathankot reported 4 new cases taking the district tally to 22, the third-highest in the state. With a new case in Jalandhar, the total number of cases in the district rose to 25, the second-highest in the state.
