Punjab: Jalandhar reports 43 new cases of coronavirus

The total number of coronavirus cases in Jalandhar has increased to 645 after 43 new positive cases were reported from the district on Wednesday. On Tuesday, Jalandhar reported 38 new cases. The district death toll, as of Wednesday evening's bulletin, stands at 18. Similarly, 8 new deaths were reported from the state. One death was reported from Sangrur and Kapurthala, 2 from Amritsar, and 4 from Jalandhar. Muktsar had reported 33 new cases of coronavirus. Among the new cases reported on Wednesday, 1 of them was from Faridkot and Gurdaspur each and 4 from Ferozepur. Sangrur reported 34 new cases, while Ludhiana 27 cases. A total of 52 patients were declared cured and discharged in the last 24 hours. Of 52, 41 were from Ludhiana, 5 from Patiala, 4 from Fatehgarh Sahib and 2 from Ropar. Patiala has reported 235 cases of coronavirus while Mohali has reported 224 cases of COVID-19.
