Chandigarh reports 20 new cases of coronavirus; tally rises to 800

The total number of coronavirus cases in Chandigarh has increased to 800 after 20 new cases of COVID-19 were reported from the Union Territory on Wednesday. Of total 800 cases, 256 are active cases while 531 COVID patients have been cured and discharged while 13 deaths have been reported from the city so far. Of new cases, a 73-year-old woman has tested positive for coronavirus in Mauli Jagran, a 21-year-old man from Sector 40, 12-year-old girl, a 14-year-old girl and a 51-year-old man from Ramdarbar. A 43-year-old man from Sector 32, 22-year-old man, 23-year-old woman, 80-year-old woman, a 52-year-old man from Bapu Dham Colony in Sector 26; a 63-year-old woman from Sector 61, a 23-year-old woman from Manimajra, a 28-year-old man from Dhanas, a 40-year-old man from Sector 42, a 35-year-old woman from Sector 32 and a 5-year-old boy have tested positive for coronavirus.
