Chandigarh reports 25 new cases of coronavirus, tally rises to 480

The total number of coronavirus cases in Chandigarh has increased to 480 after 25 new cases were reported from the Union Territory on Friday. According to the information, shared by the Chandigarh Health Department, a 28-year-old man and a 53-year-old woman from Sector 45 have tested positive for coronavirus. Five women of age 45, 35, 57, 21 and 48 and two men aged 59 and 62, tested positive for the novel coronavirus. A 65-year-old man from Dhanas also tested positive for the novel virus. Likewise, a 55-year-old man from Sector 46, 25-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man from Bapu Dham Colony in Sector 26; a 23-year-old woman and 60-year-old man from Sector 29; a 29-year-old woman from Sector 45, a 45-year-old woman from Ramdarbar, a 75-year-old woman from Sector 44 and a 65-year-old woman from Sector 35 tested positive for the pandemic. Two women for age 43 and 20 and a 14-year-old boy from Sector 63 tested positive for COVID-19. A 46-year-old man from Burail, a 32-year-old man from Sector 30 and a 52-year-old man from Sector 20 have tested positive for the novel coronavirus. He appealed the residents to strictly follow the guidelines issued for containing the spread of infection.
