Amid a decline in the number of coronavirus cases, the Chandigarh administration on Monday announced relaxation for the opening of shops and timings. While announcing the shop opening timings, the Chandigarh administration stated that all shops will be allowed to open from 9 am to 4 pm. On the other hand, all sports facilities will be opened to sportspersons, who can utilize the infrastructure by strictly following COVID protocol. However, swimming pools and gyms will remain closed. Chandigarh Administrator expressed satisfaction about the availability of adequate oxygen and medicines in all medical facilities. Amid a decline in coronavirus cases, Chandigarh administration on Monday announced relaxation for the opening of shops and timings. He directed that the hospital in Sector 45, Chandigarh, should be converted into an exclusive Paediatric Hospital for children, who suffer from coronavirus. Even as he expressed concern about the plight of the children, who have lost their parents due to COVID-19 and directed that the school fees of all such children are exempted and if any child needs accommodation in the Administration’s welfare home, the same will be provided free of cost.
