Chandigarh reports new case of COVID-19; 7 pocket areas in Bapu Dham colony out of perimeter control
Chandigarh reported one new case of coronavirus on Tuesday, taking the total number of cases in the Union Territory to 358. According to the information, a 35-year-old man who is a resident of Sector 25, Chandigarh tested positive for COVID-19. The total number of active cases in the Union Territory has increased to 51.
Meanwhile, the Chandigarh Administration has decided to remove the following areas of Bapu Dham Colony from the perimeter control.
On Monday, the Chandigarh Administrator VP Singh Badnore appealed to the city residents to opt for cycling as a mode of transportation, as it is both environment friendly and keeps you physically fit. The Cycle tracks will be repaired on priority."
"The health authorities to focus on visitors coming from outside and also to take special care of co-morbidities cases. Citizens are also advised to maintain physical distance and wear masks in public places," he added.

He further said that "I am glad PGIMER has started with the Plasma Therapy on coronavirus patients and the results are good. Doctors and researchers to continue with the ongoing research process to bring out a definite mode of treatment for COVID-19."
