Chandigarh reports two new cases of coronavirus from Bapu Dham Colony; UT count 199

Chandigarh has reported two new cases of coronavirus from Bapu Dham Colony in Sector 26 on Tuesday. According to the information, one of them is a 28-year-old man and the other one is a 55-year-old woman. Both of them are from the same family and are the contacts of a positive case. Meanwhile, the active cases in the UT have increased to 142 while the total number of coronavirus cases in the Union Territory has reached 199. Earlier, after four days of a gap, Chandigarh on Monday reported six new COVID-19 cases, all from Bapu Dham Colony, taking the tally to 197. Chandigarh has so far tested 2,892 samples and 20 percent of these were Bapu Dham residents. Chandigarh on Monday issued guidelines for the fourth phase of lockdown, imposed to curb the spread of coronavirus. Meanwhile, the movement of individuals shall remain strictly prohibited between 07:00 pm to 07:00 am except for essential activities. Likewise, all the motor markets will remain open but they must maintain physical distancing and hygiene. The general public can meet the officers for their personal grievance redressal etc. strictly between 11:00 am to 12:00 noon preferably with prior appointments.
