Chandigarh, Panchkula report new cases of coronavirus

Chandigarh reported 3 new cases of coronavirus taking the total number of cases in Union Territory to 323, while 3 cases were reported from Panchkula on Tuesday. Interestingly, no new case of coronavirus has been reported from Bapu Dham colony in Sector 26, Chandigarh.

A 4-year-old son of the CISF constable tested positive for coronavirus on Tuesday. The CISF constable and his wife were already contracted with the pandemic. According to the information, the family lives at Daria village near railway station.

Meanwile, a 28-year-old man who is a resident of Manimajra was tested positive for coronavirus on Tuesday. Likewise, a 42-year-old man was tested positive for nCov. He is a resident of Sector 18 in Chandigarh.

In Panchkula, three family members of in Sector 21 tested positive for the pandemic on Tuesday. Meanwhile, they have been taken to the isolation ward of the civil hospital in Sector 6. With new cases, the coronavirus tally has increased to 36 out of which 10 are the active cases.

In the meanwhile, the Chandigarh Administration on Monday removed Kachi colony in Dhanas and 6 pockets of Bapu Dham colony from the containment zones. The six pockets of Bapu Dham include Pocket number 1, 6, 8, 10, 11 and 12.
