With 203 new cases, Chandigarh's COVID tally rises to 5,268
The total number of coronavirus cases in Chandigarh has increased to 5,268 after 203 new cases of COVID-19 were reported on Friday.
According to the media bulletin issued by the Chandigarh Health Department, the death toll in Chandigarh has increased to 68 after 5 new COVID deaths were reported from the Union Territory.
Among the new deaths, an 80-year-old male, resident of Sector 19, a 72-year-old male, resident of Sector 52, a 72-year-old male, resident of Raipur Khurd, a 51-year-old female, resident of Sector 32 and 36-year-old male, resident of Bapu Dham Colony, passed away due to the pandemic.
A total of 222 COVID patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic as per guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
