Coronavirus: Daily new cases in Punjab continue to remain below 3,000
Coronavirus Punjab Updates: The daily new cases of coronavirus in Punjab continue to remain below 3,000-mark as the state on Monday recorded 2,221 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours taking the total number of cases to 5,67,607.
Mohali, once one of the worst-affected districts, reported only 88 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours. Jalandhar reported 241 new cases while Ludhiana reported 223, Bathinda 184, Amritsar 164, Mansa 152, and Muktsar 136.

Likewise, Patiala recorded 124 new infections, Hoshiarpur 110, Sangrur 93, Ferozepur 89, Gurdaspur 81, Fazilka 78, Moga 71, Pathankot 64, Faridkot 62, Ropar 57, Kapurthala 53, Barnala 47, Tarn Taran 47, FG Sahib 32, SBS Nagar 25.

Meanwhile, the total number of discharges in the state has increased to 5,16,624 after 4,904 new recoveries were reported in 24 hours, the Health Department stated while giving coronavirus updates about Punjab.
Amritsar recorded 240 new recoveries, Barnala 69, Bathinda 448, Faridkot 80, Fazilka 204, Ferozpur 134, FG Sahib 86, Gurdaspur 175, Hoshiarpur 272, Jalandhar 442, Kapurthala 151, Ludhiana 679, Mansa 152, Moga 59, Muktsar 345, Pathankot 232, Patiala 381, Ropar 74, Sangrur 256, SAS Nagar 318, SBS Nagar 55, and Tarn Taran 52.
The death toll in Punjab due to COVID-19 has increased to 14,550 after 117 fresh deaths were recorded in 24 hours.
Amritsar added 7 new fatalities while Barnala recorded 3, Bathinda 11, Faridkot 4, FG Sahib 2, Fazilka 5, Ferozpur 6, Gurdaspur 8, Hoshiarpur 3, Jalandhar 7, Kapurthala 3, Ludhiana 8, Mansa 4, Moga 2, SAS Nagar 9, Muktsar 9, Pathankot 1, Patiala 12, Ropar 1, Sangrur 8, SBS Nagar 3, and Tarn Taran 1.
