Coronavirus: Daily positivity rate in India dips below 10 percent
Coronavirus India Updates: The COVID-19 recovery rate in India has increased to 90.1 percent as the country, on Thursday, reported 2,83,135 new recoveries in the last 24 hours.
As per the coronavirus updates given by the Union Health Ministry, India on Thursday reported 2,11,298 new COVID-19 cases, 2,83,135 discharges and 3,847 deaths in the last 24 hours.

With this, the total number of coronavirus cases has increased to 2,73,69,093 while total discharges have gone up to 2,46,33,951.

The death toll in the country has increased to 3,15,235 while active cases have reached 24,19,907. As of now, a total of 20,26,95,874 people have been administered the COVID-19 vaccine.
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 33,69,69,352 samples have been tested up to May 26 with 21,57,857 samples were tested on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Union Health Ministry stated that active caseload has further declined to 24,19,907 after active cases decreased by 75,684 in the last 24 hours:
It further stated that the Recovery rate in India has increased to 90.01 percent while the weekly positivity rate is currently at 10.93 percent, and the daily positivity rate at 9.79 percent, less than 10 percent for 3 consecutive days.
On Wednesday, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare stated that cumulatively 17,831 oxygen concentrators, 18,111 oxygen cylinders, 19 oxygen generation plants, 13,489 ventilators/BiPAP, 6.9 lakh Remdesivir vials, 12 lakh favipiravir tablets have been delivered and dispatched to the States and UTs, so far.
