Australian opener David Warner shaved his head and challenged Indian skipper Virat Kohli to do the same in an order to support those working on the frontline amid coronavirus crisis. Taking to Instagram, David Warner shared a time-lapse video. He captioned: “Been nominated to shave my head in support of those working on the frontline #Covid-19 here is a time-lapse. I think my debut was the last time I recall I’ve done this. Like it or not??”
Likewise, he nominated Steve Smith, Pat Cummins, Joe Burns, Travy Smith, Piers Morgan, Adam Zampa, Marcus Stoinis and Virat Kohli to shave head for support in thanking the front line workers saving lives and helping those affected with coronavirus.
David Warner has been constantly appealing to his fans to stay safe. Earlier, he shared a video of his daughter sanitizing her hands. He captioned: “We are trying our best to keep educating the girls on the importance of hand hygiene. This should always be part of daily routines, no matter what circumstances there are.”
David Warner was supposed to be playing in the Indian Premier League 2020, which was scheduled to be played from March 29. However, the novel coronavirus outbreak led to the postponement of the rich-cash league tournament.
Coronavirus, which has been declared as a global pandemic by the World Health Organisation (WHO) earlier in March, has claimed over 37,820 lives across the world so far. Meanwhile, the total number of cases has jumped to 785,807 out of which 165,659 people have been recovered.
