Coronavirus positive cases in India rise to 1,18,447; death toll 3,583

The total number of coronavirus (COVID 19) cases in India has increased to 1,18,447 after 6,088 new positive cases were reported in the last 24 hours, as of Friday morning. According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the death toll has increased to 3,583 after 148 new deaths were reported from the country in the last 24 hours. The Health Ministry was quoted by news agency ANI as saying: “Spike of 6088 COVID-19 cases and 148 deaths in the last 24 hours. The Total number of COVID-19 cases in the country now at 1,18,447, including 66,330 active cases and 3,583 deaths.” https://www.facebook.com/ptcnewsonline/videos/2623057841276129/?t=1 Out of the total cases, 66,330 are active cases and 3,583 have succumbed to the infection while 48,533 patients have been cured and discharged and one migrated to date. Maharashtra continues to remain the worst-affected state in the country with 41,642 COVID-19 cases, followed by Tamil Nadu at 13,967 cases, Gujarat at 12,905 cases, and Delhi at 11,659 cases.
