Coronavirus: Haryana Government to begin door-to-door screening

The Haryana Government has decided that the teams of the health department will visit every house for the screening of each person in the state. Haryana Health Minister, Anil Vij stated that if anyone found with the symptoms of coronavirus then the samples would be taken for the testing.

Vij in a statement said that the officers have been directed that the sanitization works should be carried out every day in the containment zone. Further, the sanitization will be done under the second phase in the entire state, he added.

Meanwhile, he also said that the banks, Mandis, markets, grocery stores, chemist shops as well as ration depots have been asked to maintain the social distancing and if any establishment fails to maintain the same then they will not be allowed to operate. The state Health Minister informed that 9 special coronavirus hospitals equipped with ICUs, ventilators and other equipment have been set up in Haryana.

The total number of coronavirus cases in Haryana has increased to 214, as of Thursday evening. Nuh is on the top with 50 coronavirus cases followed by Faridabad at 33 and Gurugram at 32. Palwal has reported 30 cases while Panchkula has 14 cases.

Meanwhile, the Nuh, Gurugram, Palwal, and Faridabad districts have been declared as a hotspot by the Government of India. The Union government released a list of 170 hotspot districts that include Chandigarh and Mohali as well. Of 214 cases, 64 people have been cured and discharged while the state has reported two deaths so far.
