Coronavirus Outbreak: India confirms 3577 cases and 83 deaths

Union Health Ministry of India on Sunday announced that 274 districts across the country have been affected due to Coronavirus (COVID 19) so far. Joint Secretary Lav Aggarwal said that "Total 3577 confirmed coronavirus cases reported in India till now." A total of 83 deaths have been reported. 267 persons have been recovered so far. There has been a spike of 505 positive cases in the last 24 hours. He added that "Our doubling rate (in how many days the number of coronavirus cases gets double) at present is 4.1 days. But if additional cases reported due to the Tablighi Jamaat event, had not taken place, then the doubling rate would have been 7.4 days." Domestic manufacturers have started the production, we have also started procuring PPEs from the countries where it is available."
