Coronavirus and Omicron in India Highlights: India on Monday reported 2,58,089 Covid-19 cases (13,113 less than yesterday), 385 deaths, and 1,51,740 recoveries in the last 24 hours. The active cases in India have reached 16,56,341 while the daily positivity rate has increased to 119.65 percent. The confirmed cases of the Omicron variant in India have climbed to 8,209. 13:30 pm | First dose of Covid vaccine given to 100 pc of eligible population in Delhi, total 2.85 crore doses administered so far, said Health Minister. 12:30 pm | "Blaming won't end the virus.
