Coronavirus: India records more than 3 lakh recoveries in 24 hours
Coronavirus India Updates: India on Saturday recorded more than 3 lakh new recoveries in the country in 24 hours taking the total tally to 1,79,30,960.
Giving coronavirus updates, the Union Health Ministry stated that India reported 4,01,078 new COVID-19 cases, 3,18,609 discharges, and 4,187 deaths in the last 24 hours.

The total number of coronavirus cases in India has increased to 2,18,92,676 while total discharges have gone up to 1,79,30,960. The death toll has increased to 2,38,270 and the active cases stand at 37,23,446.
As of now, a total of 16,73,46,544 people have been administered COVID-19 vaccines in the country so far.

In view of the rising coronavirus cases, the Tamil Nadu government has announced a complete lockdown for two weeks starting May 10 to control the spread of COVID-19.
Punjab, on Friday, reported 8367 new COVID-19 cases, 4976 discharges and 165 deaths in the last 24 hours.
With this, the total number of coronavirus cases in Punjab has increased to 4,24,647, total recoveries 3,44,779 and death toll 10,144. The Active cases stand at 69,724.
Maharashtra, the worst-affected state, reported 54,022 new COVID-19 cases, 37,386 recoveries and 898 deaths in the last 24 hours. The total number of cases has increased to 49,96,758, total recoveries 42,65,326, death toll 74,413 and Active cases 6,54,788.
