Coronavirus India: Recoveries continue to outnumber daily new cases for 29th consecutive day

Coronavirus India Updates: Coronavirus recoveries in India continue to outnumber the daily new cases of COVID-19 for the 29th consecutive day. As per the coronavirus updates given by the Union Health Ministry, India on Friday reported 91,702 COVID-19 cases, 1,34,580 discharges, and 3,403 deaths in the last 24 hours. With this, the total number of coronavirus cases in India has increased to 2,92,74,823 while total discharges have reached 2,77,90,073. The death toll in the country has increased to 3,63,079 and the active cases stood at 11,21,671. As of now, a total of 24,60,85,649 people have been administered the COVID-19 vaccine According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 37,42,42,384 samples have been tested for COD-19 up to June 10, 2021, of which 20,44,131 samples were tested on Thursday. Meanwhile, the recovery rate in India has increased to 94.93 percent while the weekly positivity rate is currently at 5.14 percent and the daily positivity rate at 4.49 percent, less than 10 percent for 18 consecutive days. The testing capacity in the country has substantially ramped up as 37.42 crore tests have been conducted so far. India also witnessed a net decrease of 46,281 among active cases in the last 24 hours.
