Mohali reports highest single-day spike of coronavirus cases; tally surpasses 1000-mark
The total number of coronavirus cases in Mohali has crossed the 1000-mark after the city reported the highest-ever single-day spike of COVID-19 cases on Wednesday. Mohali reported 62 new cases of the contagion disease. Now, the total number of coronavirus cases in Mohali stands at 1051.
A total of 10 COVID patients in Mohali were recovered in the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, Chandigarh on Tuesday reported 20th death due to coronavirus after a 50-year-old woman, a resident of Burail village, succumbed to the novel coronavirus.
Chandigarh reported 46 new cases of coronavirus on Tuesday taking the tally to 1206 out of which 470 are active cases while the death toll stands at 20.

On the other hand, Panchkula on Tuesday reported 12 new cases of coronavirus taking the total number of COVID-19 cases to 743.
