Mohali reports 2nd death; 78-year-old woman tested positive after death

A 78-year-old woman, who passed away in Mohali on Tuesday, had later tested positive for coronavirus. Her reports confirmed on Friday that she was diagnosed with the pandemic. It was the second death in the district due to coronavirus. Meanwhile, Punjab also reported a new positive case of coronavirus from Sangrur district on Friday. According to the information, the 78-year-old woman had co-morbid conditions. She was brought to the Emergency ward of the Kharar Civil hospital. She passed away on Tuesday and posthumously tested positive. Meanwhile, the authorities stated that her body was cremated as per protocol. Likewise, the woman's primary contacts are being traced and will be sampled. Meanwhile, 7 new cases were reported from Jawaharpur village in Derabassi, Mohali on Thursday. Jawaharpur itself has reported 22 cases so far. The total number of coronavirus cases in Mohali district has reached 38. Meanwhile, Mohali ha registered the highest number of coronavirus cases in the state so far.
