Mohali, Chandigarh report new cases of coronavirus

Mohali and Chandigarh on Wednesday reported new positive cases of the novel coronavirus. Chandigarh reported three new cases of COVID-19 from Sector 25. Reportedly, they are family contacts of a positive case which was reported on Tuesday. Earlier, eight more cases were reported from the city taking the tally to 368. A 35-year-old man, who is a resident of Sector 25, is among the new cases reported on Wednesday. He works in the Punjab Government in Sector 35 where he had last attended the office on June 4. Two women from Sector 41, age 22 and 54, have also tested positive for the novel virus. Three new patients were from Khuda Ali Sher, who has been identified as a 74-year-old man and a 55-year-old woman and a two-year-old boy. Mohali reported two new cases of coronavirus taking the total number of COVID-19 cases in the district to 186. According to the information, the Civil Surgeon Dr. Manjit Singh said that those found positive include an 18-year-old male and a 36-year-old woman. Both of them are the residents of Dappar.
