Nurse tests positive for coronavirus in Panchkula

One staff nurse of a hospital in Sector 6, Panchkula, has been tested positive for coronavirus (COVID 19) on Tuesday, the Chief Medical Officer Dr. Jasjeet Kaur said. According to the information, she has been put in isolation now. Reportedly, she was kept in home quarantine after she developed mild symptoms of coronavirus. She was admitted to the hospital after her health conditions were found critical two days before. Likewise, her family members will be tested for the pandemic. It was the second positive case of coronavirus in Panchkula. Earlier this month, a woman, a resident of Khark Mangoli in Panchkula, was tested positive for coronavirus. The World Health Organisation (WHO) has recently declared the novel coronavirus as a global pandemic. Till now it has affected 202 countries, infecting 6,93,224 people and caused 33,106 deaths. The most severely affected countries are the USA, China, Italy, Iran, South Korea, Spain, Germany, and the UK.

Punjab Death toll rises to 4

Punjab reported its 4th death due to coronavirus after Mohali reported its first death on Tuesday. A 65-year-old coronavirus positive patient from Mohali who was admitted to the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) in Chandigarh passed away on Tuesday, Girish Dayalan, Deputy Commissioner, Mohali said. -PTC News
