Patiala reports another death due to coronavirus
Patiala has reported another death due to coronavirus after a 39-year-old man passed away due to COVID-19 on Wednesday. According to the information, a 39-year-old man died of coronavirus in Patiala on Wednesday, taking the district's death toll to 2. He was taken to Government Mata Kaushalya hospital in the morning, where he was declared brought dead.
His sample was taken by the authorities on Tuesday and the reports on Wednesday confirmed that he had diagnosed with the epidemic. Meanwhile, the Patiala Health authorities stated that rapid response teams had reached his residence to isolate his family members and others who came in contact with him.
The total number of coronavirus cases in Punjab has been increasing and has crossed the 1500 mark. Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Wednesday said that the state had set up two committees, one to strategise on how to come out of the lockdown and another to figure out the economic revival.
Captain Amarinder Singh made the remarks during the Congress President Sonia Gandhi's interaction with the Chief Ministers of Congress-ruled states on the management of coronavirus and the post-May 17 challenges.

Congress leader Randeep Surjewala took to Twitter and wrote: "Capt. Amarinder Singh says, “We have set up two committees, one to strategise on how to come out of lockdown & other on economic revival." Punjab CM also said that "Concern is people sitting in Delhi are deciding on the classification of zones without knowing what’s happening on the ground.”
