Punjab Coronavirus cases rise to 257; recovered patients 53
The total number of coronavirus (COVID 19) cases in Punjab has increased to 257 after Kapurthala reported a new case while Jalandhar reported five new positive cases of coronavirus, as per the media bulletin issued by the State Health Department on Wednesday evening.
Mohali remains the worst-hit district with 62 coronavirus cases followed by Jalandhar at 53 and Patiala at 31. Pathankot has so far reported 24 cases. Ludhiana has witnessed 16 coronavirus cases while Amritsar and Mansa reported 11 cases each.
A total of three people were cured and discharged in the last 24 hours taking the count of recovered cases to 53. A 16-year-old, the last coronavirus patient in Nawanshahr, defeated coronavirus and got discharged.
