Coronavirus in Punjab: Jalandhar has 50 more +ve cases
Punjab: The total number of coronavirus cases in Jalandhar has reached 2660 after the district reported 50 new cases of COVID 19 on Tuesday. According to the information, 3 of these belong to Ludhiana.
The coronavirus cases in Jalandhar have been increasing at a pace. A total of 115 new cases of coronavirus were reported from the district on Monday. Jalandhar had also reported a death yesterday due to the pandemic.
As per the media bulletin issued on Monday evening, the total number of coronavirus cases in Jalandhar was at 2610 out of which 822 were active cases while 1733 were discharged after recovering from coronavirus.
The death toll in the district, as per yesterday's media bulletin, stands at 55. Ludhiana has recorded the highest number of deaths due to coronavirus. Ludhiana witnessed 115 COVID deaths, highest in the state, followed by Amritsar at 85 and Jalandhar at 55.

Coronavirus cases in Punjab have been rising ever since the relaxations have been announced in the state. Punjab has been reported more than 500 cases in one day, for a week. On Monday, Punjab reported 677 new cases of coronavirus and 19 new deaths. A total of 416 COVID patients were declared cured and recovered on Monday.
