Coronavirus cases in Punjab rise to 11301; death toll 269; recovered 7641

The total number of coronavirus cases in Punjab has increased to 11,301 after 414 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the last 24 hours, as of Wednesday evening. The death toll in the state has increased to 269 after 6 new deaths were reported from the state. Jalandhar reported 2 new deaths while one new death was reported from each Ludhiana, Patiala, Gurdaspur, and Hoshiarpur. A total of 252 patients were declared cured and discharged in the last 24 hours. Of 252, 45 were from Jalandhar, 31 from Amritsar, 89 from Patiala, 28 from SBS Nagar, 12 from Ropar, 10 from Kapurthala, 6 each from Sangrur, Hoshiarpur and Ludhiana, 5 from Ferozepur, 4 from Fatehgarh Sahib, 2 each from Faridkot, Tarn Taran and Moga while one each from Bathinda and Gurdaspur. Currently, Ludhiana is having 695 active cases of coronavirus while Jalandhar has 541, Amritsar 275 and Sangrur 181. Patiala has 604 active cases while Mohali has 209, Gurdaspur 21, Pathankot 36, Tarn Taran 25, Hoshiarpur 154, SBS Nagar 54, Muktsar at 30.
