Coronavirus cases in Punjab rise to 4957; death toll 122; recovered 3201

The total number of coronavirus cases in Punjab has increased to 4957 after 188 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the last 24 hours, as of Friday evening. The death toll in the state has increased to 122 after 2 new deaths were reported from Bathinda and Fatehgarh Sahib. According to the media bulletin issued by the Punjab Health Department, Amritsar reported 14 new cases of coronavirus while 67 new cases were reported from Ludhiana. Sangrur reported 24 new cases while Patiala reported 31 new cases of coronavirus. Fazilka reported 13 new cases, Pathankot reported 10 new cases, and 9 new cases were reported from Gurdaspur. Likewise, 6 new cases were reported from Mohali, Fatehgarh Sahib and Ropar, while two new cases were reported from Ferozepur. First death due to corona in Fatehgarh Sahib A total of 9 patients were declared cured and discharged in the last 24 hours. Of 9, 2 were from Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, and Fatehgarh Sahib while 1 each from Ferozepur, Fazilka and Mansa. Patiala has reported 274 cases of coronavirus while Mohali has reported 234 cases of COVID-19. Meanwhile, the Coronavirus tally of Tarn Taran has increased to 187 while the number of coronavirus cases in Hoshiarpur has spiked to 166. The coronavirus tally in SBS Nagar stands at 126, Muktsar at 125, Fatehgarh Sahib at 107 and Faridkot and Ropar at 101 each. -PTC News
