Coronavirus cases in Punjab rise to 15,456; death toll 370; recovered 10,509

Coronavirus Punjab New Cases & Deaths | Amritsar, Jalandhar, Ludhiana

The total number of coronavirus cases in Punjab has increased to 15,456 after 511 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the last 24 hours, according to the media bulletin issued on Thursday evening.

The death toll in the state has increased to 370 after 10 new deaths were reported from the state. Ludhiana reported 4 new deaths while 3 new deaths were reported from Jalandhar. Amritsar, Hoshiarpur and Patiala reported one new death each.

A total of 296 COVID patients were declared cured and discharged in the last 24 hours, as of Thursday evening. Of 296, 15 were from Jalandhar, 57 from Patiala, 82 from Amritsar, 20 from Sangrur, 36 from Mohali, 20 from Hoshiarpur, 19 from Fatehgarh Sahib, 11 from Muktsar, 10 from Fazilka, 9 from Kapurthala, 2 each from Bathinda and Gurdaspur while one each from Barnala, Mansa, and Ferozepur.

Ludhiana on Thursday reported 143 new cases of coronavirus. Currently, Ludhiana is having 960 active cases of the contagion disease while Jalandhar has 472 active cases, Amritsar 467 and Sangrur 219.

Patiala has 629 active cases while Mohali has 297, Gurdaspur 151, Pathankot 67, Tarn Taran 106, Hoshiarpur 111, SBS Nagar 45, Muktsar 36, Fatehgarh Sahib 96, Moga 121, Ropar 54, Faridkot 67, Kapurthala 92, Ferozepur at 190, Bathinda 159, Fazilka 94, Barnala 110, and Mansa 34.
