Punjab reports 50+ COVID deaths for 3rd consecutive day

The total number of coronavirus cases has increased to 55,508 after 1,522 new cases of COVID-19 were reported from the state on Tuesday. According to the media bulletin issued by the Punjab Health Department on Tuesday evening, the death toll in the state has increased to 1,512 after 59 new COVID deaths were reported from the state in a single day.

Among the new deaths, Amritsar reported 7 new deaths, Barnala reported 2, Bathinda 3, Faridkot 2, Fatehgarh Sahib 4, Fazilka 1, Ferozepur 5, Gurdaspur 1, Hoshiarpur 1, Jalandhar 8, Kapurthala 4, Ludhiana 13, Moga 1, Pathankot 1, Patiala 5, and Tarn
Taran 1.

The number of coronavirus recoveries in the state has increased to 38,147 after 1120 COVID patients were declared cured and recovered in the state, as of Tuesday evening.

Of new recoveries, Ludhiana reported 182 new cases, Patiala reported 168, Amritsar 69, Sangrur 44, Gurdaspur 98, Moga 78, Hoshiarpur 58, Pathankot 20, Barnala 36, Fatehgarh Sahib 29, Kapurthala 68, Faridkot 116, SBS Nagar 40, Muktsar 17, and Mansa 97.

In terms of new cases, Ludhiana reported 216 new cases, Jalandhar reported 158, Patiala 120, Amritsar 111, SAS Nagar 211, Sangrur 17, Bathinda 64, Gurdaspur 104, Ferozepur 11, Moga 51, Hoshiarpur 38, Pathankot 35, Barnala 23, Fatehgarh Sahib 15, Kapurthala 33, Faridkot 110, Tarn Taran 45, Ropar 33, Fazilka 25, SBS Nagar 21, Muktsar 60 and Mansa 21.
