These districts in Punjab report new death due to coronavirus
Punjab on Tuesday reported two new deaths due to the novel coronavirus. According to the information, a 28-year-old woman died due to coronavirus in Jalandhar. She took her last breath at the civil hospital.
Similarly, another death was reported from Amritsar after a 67-year-old woman succumbed to the contagion disease. She was a corona suspect and was admitted to a hospital on June 17 while she was tested positive for the pandemic on June 19.
The coronavirus cases in Punjab have crossed 4000-mark while the death toll in the state has crossed 100-mark. Earlier on Monday, Amritsar reported 28 new cases of coronavirus while 46 new cases were reported from Jalandhar.
While coronavirus cases are rising day by day, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has already said that the coronavirus pandemic may go beyond September.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded the state's effort in combating coronavirus. He had sked all other states to adopt Punjab’s model of COVID micro-containment and house-to-house surveillance strategy, which was helping the state successfully control the spread of coronavirus to a significant extent.
