Patiala: One more death due to coronavirus in Samana
Punjab: While coronavirus cases have been rising day-by-day, Patiala on Wednesday reported a new death due to the novel coronavirus. According to the information, a woman who was a resident of Muradpura village in Samana had succumbed to the pandemic.
She was admitted to the Rajendra Hospital where she took her last breath. Reportedly, she was a heart patient.
Patiala is reporting an alarmingly high number of coronavirus cases. The district on Tuesday reported 78 new COVID-19 cases, the highest single-day spike in infection in the district.
The coronavirus cases have been rising ever since the beginning of July. The district is now having more than has 750 cases while it had around 329 cases as of June 30.

Meanwhile, the doctors in Faridkot and Ropar have also reported positive for the novel coronavirus. Six doctors from Faridkot Medical College and Hospital tested positive for coronavirus while two doctors were tested positive in Ropar.
