Coronavirus: With 1,593 new cases, Punjab records major decline in daily fresh infections
Coronavirus Punjab Updates: The daily new cases of coronavirus in Punjab witnessed a major decline as the state on Sunday recorded 1,593 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours taking the total number of cases to 5,42,324.
Among new cases of COVID-19, Ludhiana reported 203 new infections while Hoshiarpur recorded 148, Bathinda 134, Jalandhar 115, Amritsar 111, Patiala 105, SAS Nagar 90, Fazilka 87, Faridkot 68, Gurdaspur 66, and Sangrur 58.

Likewise, Pathankot added 55 new cases, Ferozepur 52, Mansa 50, Ropar 47, Kapurthala 41, Muktsar 37, Moga 34, Tarn Taran 31, Barnala 22, SBS Nagar 20, and FG Sahib 19.

Likewise, Punjab witnessed a decline in fresh Covid deaths as the state recorded 65 fatalities in 24 hours.
Amritsar recorded 4 deaths while Barnala added 2, Bathinda 7, Faridkot 2, Fazilka 4, Ferozepur 2, Gurdaspur 3, Hoshiarpur 1, Jalandhar 5, Kapurthala 3, Ludhiana 3, Mansa 1, Moga 4, SAS Nagar 1, Muktsar 7, Pathankot 1, Patiala 6, Ropar 2, Sangrur 5, SBS Nagar 1, and Tarn Taran 1.
Meanwhile, the total number of recoveries in the state has increased to 5,42,324 after 3,790 new recoveries were reported in 24 hours, the Health Department stated while giving coronavirus updates about Punjab.
Amritsar recorded 200 new discharges while Barnala reported 13, Bathinda 280, Faridkot 109, Fazilka 234, Ferozpur 130, Fatehgarh Sahib 106, Gurdaspur 102, Hoshiarpur 148, Jalandhar 449, Kapurthala 91, Ludhiana 408, Mansa 221, Moga 69, Muktsar 302, Pathankot 124, Patiala 205, Ropar 107, Sangrur 128, SAS Nagar 269, SBS Nagar 36, and Tarn Taran 59.
