Coronavirus: Punjab records massive decline in fresh COVID cases and deaths
Coronavirus Punjab Updates: The daily new cases of coronavirus in Punjab witnessed a major decline as the state on Monday recorded 629 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours taking the total number of cases to 5,88,525.
Among the new cases of COVID-19, Jalandhar recorded 98 new cases while Amritsar added 55, Ludhiana 52, Hoshiarpur 42, Bathinda 38, Gurdaspur 38, SAS Nagar 35, Ropar 32, Fazilka 28, and Mansa 27.

Likewise, Faridkot reported 25 new cases while Patiala 25, Ferozepur 24, Muktsar 17, Kapurthala 16, Pathankot 15, Sangrur 14, SBS Nagar 12, Moga 10, Tarn Taran 10, Barnala 8, and FG Sahib 8.

Meanwhile, Punjab recorded 33 Covid deaths across the state in 24 hours taking the death toll to 15,602.
Amritsar recorded 2 new deaths while Barnala reported 2, Bathinda 1, Fazilka 2, Ferozepur 3, Gurdaspur 1, Hoshiarpur 2, Jalandhar 3, Ludhiana 1, Mansa 1, SAS Nagar 1, Muktsar 1, Pathankot 1, Patiala 5, Ropar 1, Sangrur 4, and Tarn Taran 2.
The total number of recoveries in the state has increased to 5,61,010 after 1,650 new recoveries were reported in 24 hours, the Health Department stated while giving coronavirus updates about Punjab.
Among new recoveries, Amritsar recorded 144 new discharges, Barnala 10, Bathinda 61, Faridkot 109, Fazilka 80, Ferozpur 85, Fatehgarh Sahib 64, Gurdaspur 83, Hoshiarpur 129, Jalandhar 186, Kapurthala 32, Ludhiana 199, Mansa 61, Moga 27, Muktsar 42, Pathankot 58, Patiala 95, Ropar 30, Sangrur 69, SAS Nagar 67, and SBS Nagar 19.
