Indian Railways cancels 168 trains in the wake of Coronavirus

The Indian Railways has cancelled 168 trains due to low occupancy in the wake of coronavirus from March 20 to March 31. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare was quoted by news agency ANI as saying: "Total number of confirmed COVID 19 cases in India rises to 166 - comprising 141 Indian nationals and 25 foreign nationals." There have been 3 deaths in the country due to Coronavirus so far (as on 19.03.2020 at 09:00 AM)."

8,969 deaths across the world

Meanwhile, the coronavirus has claimed 8,969 deaths so far across the world with 219,345 confirmed cases. Fortunately, 85,745 patients have been recovered so far. The novel coronavirus has been declared as a global pandemic by the World Health Organisation (WHO).

47 cases in Maharashtra

Maharashtra Health Ministry stated that a 22-year-old woman has been tested positive for COVID 19 in Mumbai. She has a travel history to the United Kingdom. In the meanwhile, one more person, a 49-year-old woman from Ulhasnagar also tested positive with travel history to Dubai. Therefore, the total number of positive cases has reached 47 in the state. ICSE 10th and 12th exams postponed

The council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (ICSE) has to postponed class 10th and 12th exams in the wake of coronavirus. Meanwhile, the revised dates would be announced later. -PTC News
