UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been admitted to hospital for tests on Sunday, as a precautionary step after showing persistent symptoms of coronavirus, ten days after testing positive for the pandemic. Downing Street stated that the Prime Minister has been admitted to the hospital for tests on the advice of his doctor. It added that "This is a precautionary step, as Prime Minister Boris Johnson continued to have persistent symptoms of coronavirus 10 days after testing positive for the pandemic." Boris Johnson, 55, became the first leader of a major power to announce that he had tested positive for coronavirus on March 27. He decided to go into isolation at a flat in Downing Street.
