Coronavirus update: India reports 6,990 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours
Coronavirus India update: As many as 6,990 new Covid-19 cases have been reported in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of active cases to 1,00,543, informed the Union Health Ministry on Tuesday.
In the past 24 hours, the country reported 10,116 recoveries. This has taken the overall recoveries to 3,40,18,299. Currently, the recovery rate stands at 98.35 percent, the highest since March 2020.

The daily positivity rate is 0.69 percent and the weekly positivity rate is 0.84 percent.

Meanwhile, over 123.25 (1,23,25,02,767) crore COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive, the ministry said while giving coronavirus update about India.
Over 137 crore Covid-19 vaccines have been provided to states and union territories so far under the nationwide vaccination drive, said the Union Health Ministry on Tuesday.
As per information shared by the ministry, a total of 1,37,71,08,100 doses have been provided to states and union territories so far through the Central government's free-of-cost channel and through the direct state procurement category.
The ministry in an official statement said that more than 22.70 (22,70,98,006) crore balance and unutilized COVID vaccine doses are still available with the states and union territories to be administered to the eligible population.
