Coronavirus Update: India's COVID recoveries rise exponentially
Coronavirus Update: The total number of coronavirus cases in India has crossed the one-crore mark after 25,153 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours, as of Saturday morning.
Meanwhile, the death toll in India has gone up to 1,45,136 while the total numbers of recovered and active cases are 95,50,712 and 3,08,751, respectively.

According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the total number of samples tested up to December 18 is 16,00,90,514 while the samples tested on December 18 are 11,71,868.
The Health Ministry stated that India's COVID-19 recoveries have witnessed a steep exponential rise - from 50,000 in May to over 95 lakh in December. Recoveries are more than 30 times the Active Cases (currently only 3.14 percent of Total Cases), the Health Ministry stated while giving a coronavirus update.
Coronavirus in Delhi
Delhi reported 1,418 new COVID-19 cases, 2,160 recoveries, and 37 deaths in the last 24 hours.

With this, the total number of cases in the national capital has gone up to 6,14,775 while the recoveries tally has increased to 5,93,137. The death toll stands at 10,219 while active cases stand at 11,419.
Coronavirus in Punjab
According to the media bulletin issued by the Punjab Health Department on Friday evening, the COVID-19 tally in the state has increased to 1,62,270 which includes 1,51,119 recoveries, 5,981 active cases, and 5,170 deaths.
Punjab reported 444 new cases, 483 recoveries, and 20 deaths in the last 24 hours.
