Coronavirus Outbreak: Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma donate to PM-CARES fund, Maharashtra CM’s relief fund

While Indian celebrities are coming forward to contribute to several funds for the government, Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli along with wife Anushka Sharma, made his contribution on Monday. Virat Kohli took to Twitter and wrote: "Anushka and I are pledging our support towards PM-CARES Fund & the Chief Minister's Relief Fund (Maharashtra). Our hearts are breaking looking at the suffering of so many & we hope our contribution, in some way, helps to ease the pain of our fellow citizens." Meanwhile, Virat Kohli has been active on social media and constantly appealing his fans to stay at home during the coronavirus crisis. Today I am speaking to you not as an India cricket player, but as a citizen of the country. What I have seen in the last few days, people are moving out in groups, not adhering the curfew rules, not following guidelines of lockdown. It shows that we are taking the fight very lightly but this fight is not as easy as it looks or feels." Also, he said that we should follow the directives given by the government and think about how we would feel if due to our negligence someone in our family gets affected by the coronavirus. Therefore, he asked people to follow the experts as they are working very hard.
