Coronavirus: With 1,027 new cases in 24 hours, Delhi positivity rate is at 1.53 percent
Coronavirus Delhi Updates: Delhi on Thursday witnessed a major decline in daily new cases of coronavirus as it reported just 1,027 new cases in the last 24 hours.
According to the coronavirus updates given by the State Health Department, Delhi reported 1072 new COVID-19 cases, 3,725 recoveries, and 117 deaths in the last 24 hours.

With this, the total number of coronavirus cases in the national capital has increased to 14,22,549 while the recoveries have gone up to 13,82,359.

The death toll in Delhi due to COVID-19 has reached 23,812 while active cases stand at 16,378. The Positivity rate in Delhi stands at 1.53 percent.
Even Dr. VK Paul Member-Health, Niti Aayog, on Thursday said that it was reassuring that "we are on the downswing of the second wave, and it will be sustained if restrictions open up systematically as the time comes."
The Union Ministry of Health stated that overall recoveries were now exceeding the number of cases being reported on a daily basis. The recovery rate in India has increased from 85.6 percent to 90 percent now, it's a positive indication.
24 states have reported a decline in active cases since last week, the Health Ministry stated.
