Coronavirus: With 131 new cases, Delhi's positivity rate stands at 0.22 percent

Coronavirus Delhi Updates: The daily new cases of coronavirus in Delhi have witnessed a major decline in the last 24 hours as the national capital reported just 131 new cases of COVID-19. According to the coronavirus updates given by the State Health Department, Delhi reported 131 new COVID-19 cases, 355 recoveries, and 16 deaths in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate in Delhi stands at 0.22 percent while active cases remained at 3,226. The total recoveries have gone up to 14,03,205 while the death toll has reached 24,839. On Sunday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had announced several relaxation in the restrictions imposed to contain the spread of COVID-19. All shops in markets, malls would be open in Delhi while restaurants would open with 50 percent capacity, Kejriwal had said. On the other hand, weekly markets in Delhi would open, however, only one market would be allowed in each zone. He also said that the Covid situation in Delhi under control to a larger extent while preparations were on for a possible third wave. The social, political, cultural gatherings will continue to remain prohibited in Delhi, he said, adding that schools, educational institutions will continue to remain closed in Delhi.
